IB Process at... Monarch Academy
At the core of our educational philosophy lies a commitment to nurturing well-rounded students who flourish in every area of their academic journey.
Our approach takes a comprehensive view, recognizing that true learning extends beyond traditional subjects and encompasses a diverse array of skills, interests, and values.
The educational journey will be organized in accordance with the teaching philosophy from the Primary Years Program (PYP), spanning from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 5, as well as the Middle Years Program (MYP), encompassing Grade 6 to Grade 8.
With the aim of expediting the accreditation procedure, we are initiating all educational endeavors aligned with the principles of the International Baccalaureate (IB) in our academic curriculum to the best of our ability.
Traditionally, the comprehensive process of IB accreditation extends over a period of approximately 24 months.
However, our aspiration is to streamline this timeline by strategically embedding the educational program into our framework beginning September 2023.
By doing so, we anticipate achieving accreditation in a more expedited manner.
By adopting a holistic approach, we empower students to become confident, adaptable individuals who are equipped to face the challenges of the world.
We look forward to seeing you in the new school year!

Develops multilingual students.
MYP for Grades 6 to 8
PYP for JK to Grade 5
The PYP (Primary Years Program) focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in school and in the world beyond.
The PYP offers a transformative experience for students, teachers and whole school communities and delivers excellent outcomes by providing an education that is engaging, relevant, challenging and significant.
The core objective of the MYP
is to facilitate the growth of students' individual comprehension, their evolving identity, and their ccountability within their local surroundings.
Optimal learning occurs when educational encounters are meaningful and intertwined with their personal lives and their perceptions of the world around them.
By employing global perspectives, MYP learners cultivate a recognition of their shared human identity and collective responsibility for safeguarding the Earth.
